14-15 May 2022

The Annual Classics at Prescott event run by Winchcombe Rotary Club returns to its traditional May slot having moved to September due to the pandemic. This will be the 19th year that Classics at Prescott has been on the Rotary calendar raising funds for charities and needy causes. It will be again be held at the Bugatti Owners' Club at Prescott.

An added attraction at the hill climb this year will be Richard Hammond and his film crew shooting footage for the next series of Richard Hammond's Workshop. This will be quite informal and Richard will be chatting to enthusiasts about restoration projects.

About the event

The event in May 2022 will be the 19th year the event has been organised, initially by Cheltenham Cleeve Vale and recently by Winchcombe Rotary Club. The funds raised are in excess of £300,000 and have been donated to a wide range of charities both at home and overseas. The event in 2020 was unfortunately cancelled due to the pandemic but the 2021 event came back with a bang with record entries and spectator attendance. A massive "Thank You" to everyone involved whether it be entrants, sponsors, programme advertisers or spectators who supported us generously with donations which will enable us once again to support charities and needy causes.

We are now ready to return to our traditional May event and have arranged with Bugatti Owners' Club to have the next Classics at Prescott over the weekend of 14-15 May 2022.

As in previous years the 2022 event is open to all vehicles over 25 years old albeit exceptions may be made at the discretion of the organisers for particularly interesting younger cars. Applications from Classic Car Clubs are also welcome.

For our 19th year we will continue to be focused on providing a great day out for Classic Car Enthusiasts whilst raising funds for a wide variety of Rotary Charities.

"I’d like to say what a fantastic day Sunday was, brilliant event, will be back for sure next year"

"Thanks to the team for the splendid day on Sunday at the hill. So many cars and a great range to view in the paddock and up the hill.  Well done to all involved."

"Many thanks again for all your help, we both had a most enjoyable day and look forward to coming next year. We met some wonderful people at Prescott including some fellow members of our owners club."

"Thanks to the team for an excellent tour on Saturday, much enjoyed by my wife and myself.  Lots of hills, nearly all up!!

Great views, and good weather, well done."

"Just a line to pass on my thanks for another fantastic day, please convey this to everyone involved. The new organisation worked very well from entry, though to arriving at the finish line at the top of the hill. I also enjoyed the Cotswold Tour, as well as taking us through some lovely countryside, there was the opportunity to meet and chat with random groups of other enthusiasts when we stopped for refreshment, or to confirm the route. We seemed very popular with the tourists in Broadway!"

Saturday 14th May Classic Cotswold Tour

On Saturday 14th May we will plan a picturesque tour around the Cotswolds. The tour is open to individual classic cars or groups. The tour starts at the Royal Oak in Gretton and takes a circular route returning to Winchcombe. Distance is about 75 miles and the tour guide provided will make suggestions about suitable stop off points along the way. This creates the opportunities to pause at a number of interesting beauty spots and take on some refreshment.

Sunday 15th May Classics at Prescott

The main event takes place on Sunday when from 10am the paddock entries will start their hill runs. When not on the hill these lovely classic cars will be parked in the paddock and can be viewed at close quarters. At the same time there will be a static display of classic cars in the orchard and at lunchtime a gentle cavalcade of these cars will go up the hill so everyone can admire them in motion.

Come along as a Spectator

Come along as a Spectator to the main event on Sunday, gates are open to Spectators from 9am and at 10am the paddock entries will start their hill runs.

The Prescott site provides great viewing opportunities across all parts of the track and there is plenty of on-site catering available from the Bugatti Clubhouse or, bring a picnic.

There is ample car parking on site. Entry is by donation (£15) for a car and all it's passengers. You can pay on the day or pre-book on the website

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed anywhere on site.

A Big Thank You

Many thanks to all of our sponsors who not only contribute to the success of the event but also make the day even more interesting. They are all listed below with links to their individual websites.
