11-12 September 2021

The Annual Classics at Prescott event run by Winchcombe Rotary Club will take place in September which is a change from the usual May slot. This will hopefully mean the Covid restrictions will have eased. It will be held at the Bugatti Owners' Club at Prescott. Classic Cars are invited to run the famous hill for charity. We also arrange a Classics Tour of the Cotswolds, a Static Display and hopefully invite spectators to be part of this iconic event.

About the event

Following our successful event in 2019 jointly run by the Rotary Clubs Of Winchcombe and Cheltenham Cleeve Vale the 2020 event was due to be held in May, but due to the Covid outbreak we had to postpone to September. Unfortunately at the last minute, due to changing regulations, the event had to be cancelled.

The Rotary Clubs wish to give a massive "Thank You" to entrants, sponsors and programme advertisers who generously supported us with donations which not only enabled us to cover our costs but also generate a surplus in excess of £8000 to be used to support Rotary Charities.

In an attempt to avoid a similar situation next year a decision has been made to move the 2021 event from May to September when we hope things will be more "normal".

The cancellation this year was even more frustrating as this is the last year that the Rotary Club of Cheltenham Cleeve Vale are involved in the event having transitioned it to Winchcombe Rotary Club. Cleeve Vale have run the event for 16 years and raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for Charity, In particular the efforts of Geoff Kimber should be recognised. Geoff has been involved from the start and will still be involved as a "Consultant" going forward but focusing his efforts on wandering the Paddock on the day mixing with fellow enthusiasts and friends he has made over the years.

As in previous years the 2021 event is open to all vehicles over 25 years old but exceptions may be made at the discretion of the organisers for particularly interesting younger cars. Applications from Classic Car Clubs are also welcome.

This is will be the 18th year this event has been held and will continue to be focused on providing a great day out for Classic Car Enthusiasts whilst raising funds for a wide variety of Rotary Charities.

Saturday 11th September Cotswold Tour

On Saturday 11 September we will plan a picturesque tour around the Cotswolds. The tour is open to individual classic cars or groups. The tour starts at the Royal Oak in Gretton and returns to Winchcombe with a stop off at a point of interest to the tourists along the way. During the tour there will be opportunities to pause at a number of interesting beauty spots and take on some refreshment.

Sunday 12th September Classics at Prescott

The main event takes place on Sunday when from 10am the paddock entries will start their hill runs. When not on the hill these lovely classic cars will be parked in the paddock and can be viewed at close quarters. At the same time there will be a static display of classic cars in the orchard and at lunchtime a gentle cavalcade of these cars will go up the hill so everyone can admire them in motion.

COVID UPDATE:  As a consequence of the  Government restrictions we unfortunately are not clear, at this time, if we will be able to welcome spectators to the 2021 event.

Come along as a Spectator

Come along as a Spectator to the main event on Sunday, gates are open to Spectators from 9am and at 10am the paddock entries will start their hill runs.

The Prescott site provides great viewing opportunities across all parts of the track and there is plenty of on-site catering available from the Bugatti Clubhouse or, bring a picnic.

There is ample car parking on site. Entry is by donation (£15) for a car and all it's passengers. You can pay on the day or pre-book on the website

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed anywhere on site.

A Big Thank You

Many thanks to all of our sponsors who not only contribute to the success of the event but also make the day even more interesting. They are all listed below with links to their individual websites.
