CLASSICS AT PRESCOTT

13-14 May 2023

The Annual Classics at Prescott event run by Winchcombe Rotary Club celebrates it's 20th anniversary in Spring 2023 and will again take place at the home of the Bugatti Owners' Club.   This event is organised and operated totally by volunteers and raises money for Rotary supported charities. Over the years it has raised in excess of £330.000 as well as providing a great day out for Classic Car enthusiasts.

About the event

The event in May 2022 can only go down as a great success and the first real post COVID event with no mandatory restrictions. The unfavourable weather forecast leading up to the event did not deter entrants and spectators alike. In reality Saturdays Tour enjoyed fantastic weather and the main event on Sunday was dry in the morning, but a little damp for the second runs in the afternoon. This did not detract however from a really enjoyable day. 2023 will be the 20th anniversary of the event and funds raised to date for Rotary supported charities exceeds £330,000. The 2021 event also welcomed Richard Hammond and his team who were filming for the next series of Richard Hammond's Workshop.

We will continue in 2023 with our traditional May slot and have arranged with the Bugatti Owners' Club to hold our event over the weekend of 13-14 May 2023.  As in previous years the 2023 event is open to all vehicles over 25 years old albeit exceptions may be made at the discretion of the organisers for particularly interesting younger cars. Applications from Classic Car Clubs are also welcome.

We continue to be focused on providing a great day out for Classic Car enthusiasts whilst raising funds for a wide variety of Rotary Charities and thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years.

Saturday 13th May Classic Cotswold Tour

On Saturday 13th May we will plan a picturesque tour around the Cotswolds. The tour is open to individual classic cars or groups. The tour starts at the Royal Oak in Gretton and takes a circular route returning to Winchcombe. Distance is about 80 miles and the tour guide provided will make suggestions about suitable stop off points along the way. This creates the opportunities to pause at a number of interesting beauty spots and take on some refreshment.

Sunday 14th May Classics at Prescott

The main event takes place on Sunday when from 10am the paddock entries will start their hill runs. When not on the hill these lovely classic cars will be parked in the paddock and can be viewed at close quarters. At the same time there will be a static display of classic cars in the orchard and at lunchtime a gentle cavalcade will go up the hill so everyone can admire the Orchard cars in motion.
